  • Taper Hall of Humanities, Room 201, USC 3501 Trousdale Parkway Los Angeles, CA, 90089 United States (map)

Join us Thursday, December 1st for the viewing of ABC Australia’s documentary, #Black Lives Matter, followed by a panel discussion with J.C. Faulk and Michael Wood Jr. who were both spotlighted in the documentary.

J.C. Faulk is a community organizer and founder of Circles of Voices, LLC., a diversity and inclusion consulting firm that brings people of different ethnic and racial backgrounds together in order to move past racism, sexism, and other isms. Michael Wood Jr. is an acclaimed, former Baltimore Police Sergeant.

#Black Lives Matter is an eye-opening visual Australian documentary that takes viewers through Baltimore and Chicago to highlight the realities of being Black in America, as these cities mourn the deaths of citizens, some dying by the hands of brutal police, and others by the hands of their neighbors.

In Fall 2015, #Black Lives Matter initially aired to more than 750,000 thousand viewers and has since been nominated for multiple Walkey awards, the equivalent of an Australian Pulitzer Prize.

Join us for the screening and panel discussion of #Black Lives Matter on Thursday, December 1st at 6pm at USC’s Taper Hall of Humanities [3501 Trousdale Parkway, Room 201].

If you’re interested in further discussion about the impact that racism and police brutality has on our society, please join us on Saturday, December 3rd for a Circles of Voices workshop. J.C. and Michael will co-facilitate the discussion.
