In our next Circles of Voices, we focus on the fragmentation of women's bodies and how that fragmentation is connected to power. The dominant power in this system is patriarchy, the promotion of the idea that masculinity is privileged over femininity. The idea is antiquated, old, dangerous and wrong.
Please join us on Saturday, October 15th at the Impact Hub to have conversations around the themes of gender inequality, patriarchal structures, and ways to create the foundation for equity to occur in our society.
Tehya Jenae, a recent graduate of UCLA, will present a provocative discussion regarding the existence of systemic structures designed to minimize the value of women. J.C. Faulk and Verna Myers will run in true CoV6 style in support of Tehya's presentation. Join us. Please, bring a potluck dish to share. Looking forward to seeing you there.
